The LOJ Conversions Gen III/IV Small Block Chevy (LS Engines) and Gen V Small Block Chevy (LT Engines) to Ram 8HP / ZF8 (8HP70, 8HP75, 8HP90, 8HP95) Transmission Adapter specifically designed for mating to sought after ZF 8-Speed transmissions to your favorite LS and LT engines. The straight-forward approach and overall simple design will allow a seamless integration of these LS engines with the Ram truck Mopar version of the ZF8. The adapter plate design incorporates a 360* mounting surface and mounts to GM factory style cast oil pans for enhanced rigidity.
The included billet aluminum Flexplate is a complete replacement of the factory LS/LT flexplate. Don't waste your time with torque converter adapters that still rely on the weak stock flexplate. Upgrade to a fully billet CNC machined flexplate from the start for maximum power holding and durability.
The steel converter pilot adapter is press fit into the stock pilot bearing register on the crankshaft to prevent unwanted noise from slip-fit parts and to properly align the converter to the crankshaft.

Will this kit require any modifications to my engine or transmission?
- No! (Kinda). The Ram 8HP transmissions have provisions for factory starters on both sides of the bellhousing. The LS engine does not allow a LH side mounted starter (US Drivers Side) so our adapter plate does not account for it. Some LS Headers hug that side of the block tight, and the bulge on the side of the bellhousing might interfere. We have no way to know this, and you might need to but that bulge off to make room.

Will this kit work with the Mopar/Dodge Charger, Challenger 8HP transmissions?
- Technically they will bolt up. However the car versions of the transmissions do not have provisions for a RH (US Passenger) side starter. You would need to cut the bell to clear the snout of the starter. We have not test fit a car version of the transmission yet to confirm this.
