This LOJ Conversions Basic Swap Kit for the N50 Nissan Xterra and D40 Nissan Frontier allows you to install and Gen 3 or Gen 4 Chevrolet LS Engine into your truck using your stock VQ40 6-Speed Manual Transmission.

This kit has been engineered specifically to relocate the stock manual transmission to the rear 2" (50mm) to allow the engine to sit further back. This improves clearance for radiator and accessories and also helps weight distribution in sport truck applications. 2WD Kits also include our Road-Race Oil Pan with 11 quarts of capacity and advanced multi-stage trap door baffling. 2WD Kits also include new driveshafts, since relocating the engine and transmission requires the driveline to be shortened. These features make these kits more pricy than the 4WD Kits.


This basic kit uses a VQ40DE 6-Speed Manual Transmission (External Slave Style)


Kit Includes: (Products listed in RED are added over the Basic Kit)
  • LOJ LSx to Xterra / Frontier / Titan / Armada Motor Mounts (CNC Cut and Bent Motor Mount Brackets,, Brackets are powdercoated for durability and include hardware)
  • LOJ Conversions Transmission Mount Bracket. Bolts to the stock crossmember using the supplied hardware and an Energy Suspension Polyurethane Bushing to accommodate the Rear Mount Engine Position.
  • LOJ Conversions Road-Race Oil Pan with 11 quarts of capacity and advanced multi-stage trap door baffling. Includes Pan, Pickup Tube, Gasket, Dipstick, Hardware, & -10AN welded fittings for Oil Filter Relocation and Turbo Drains.
  • LOJ VQ40DE Transmission to LSx Adapter Kit Including:
    • 6061-T6 Billet Aluminum Transmission Adapter Plate fabricated from USA Sourced Metallurgically Certified Heat Treated Aluminum. Hard-Anodized Black for long lasting good looks and durability.
    • LOJ Billet Steel Flywheel. This flywheel will accept any stock LS Clutch Pressure Plate designed for the C5 Corvette, or you can add one as an option to your adapter kit.
    • Custom LSX Clutch Setup (11.5" Diameter with Nissan Input Shaft Splines). These are available in the following styles:
    • Zinc-Plated Grade 8.8 or Higher Hardware
    • Pilot Bushing
    • Release Bearing
  • 4" Diameter Aluminum One Piece Driveshaft. A Shortened Driveshaft is included due to the transmission being pushed back and eliminating the problematic carrier bearings. These things are massive!
  • Frontier / Xterra / Navara / Titan / Armada LSx Swap Oil Filter Relocation Kit - 4WD Trucks
  • LOJ Conversions LSx to 350Z Accessory drive kit. This allows you to run a stock 350Z Power Steering Pump (matches to your truck rack's pressure/flow and works with your stock PS hose), VQ40 or 350Z Alternator (works with your stock wiring), and a 350Z AC Compressor (optional, can work with your stock AC lines with minor modifications) to bolt directly to the LSx engine while retaining your factory plumbing and wiring.
  • LOJ Conversions Frontier / Xterra / Navara / Titan / Armada LSx Swap Fuel System. This includes a completely new fuel sending unit assembly with high flow fuel pump and upgraded fuel pressure regulator to feed your LSx engine up to 550WHP on 93 Octane.
